The Modern Vagabond
Caftans with deep V-necks and graphic cuts. Loose and fluid silhouttes. DAGMAR’s Spring/Summer 2012 is greatly inspired by the relaxed Moroccan lifestyle as well as modern urban graphics – it is a wardrobe tailored for the modern vagabond.
The items of the Spring/Summer collection of 2012 are relaxed and comfortable, yet glamorous. Knitted cloaks with low cut necklines, ankle lenght skirts and flared trousers are key garments. The material are fluid, airy and soft and the loose silhouette makes a pleasant balance between sophisticated and relaxed fit.

Alpaca wool- Dagmar has designed and produced a hand-knitted cardigan in Alpaca wool from an organic farm in Värmland. The yarn is in its original colour, famous for its gorgeous fibers and non-allergenic wool.
Real fake fur- For this season Dagmar has chosen to work with a fur quality that has been produced in an animal friendly way.
Lyocell- This environmentally friendly fibre can be found in the Dagmar jersey program for autumn 2011.
Organic denim- The fabric has an ultra soft finish as a result from sustainable hypo allergic, biodegradable treatment with the Brazilian Cupuacu fruit extract.
PRE SPRING 2012 – THE NORTH POLE
Föreställ dig en kort julhelg till Nordpolen. Känn atmosfären, ljuset och kylan. Dagmar presenterar en liten och tajt kollektion med plagg perfekta för så väl resa och fritid som middagar och nyårsfester i vackra, lyxiga spetsstickningar, denim, ulltoppar, mocka/skinnbyxor, alpacatröjor och koftor.
I den här kollektionen lyfter Dagmar fram sitt ursprung i det finstickade, till ’prêt á couture’. Plaggen är unika genom att varje tråd i spetsen är designad av Dagmar själva och utgör ett grafiskt art deco-mönster. Hantverket i produktionen håller absolut högsta klass och få klarar av att producera på den nivån. Designen av plaggen balanseras genom att kombinera grova dragkedjor och en sportig mosstickning tillsammans med det couture-stickade.
Färgerna är uppdelade i två olika block. Det ena är tydligt inspirerat av den kalla, karga atmosfären på Nordpolen med ljusgrå, vita och isande toner. Det andra består av varma, bruna och röda betoningar som kan kännas igen från ett färgsprakande norrsken och en vintersol som du kan föreställa dig någonstans långt, långt borta.
Silhuetten är lång, rak och ren. Medellånga längder och djupa v-ringningar är en röd tråd genom hela kollektionen som denna gång även består av en stor del draperade plagg samt korta och ganska fyrkantiga toppar för att skapa balans med de snäva nederdelarna.

DAGMAR work after the motto to empower the new generation of influential women, irrespective of wherever in the world they are situated. Together with restaurant Teatergrillen in Stockholm, DAGMAR therefore will work in a charity project during the whole month of September in benefit of exposed woman in North Africa.
At Teatergrillen hangs a composition made by the swedish illustrator and artist Moley Talhaoui, which will be held out for auction. The winning amount will be presented in October and the money will go directly to the charity organization Oum El Banine (Mother and child) which main purpose is to support exposed woman, especially mothers, in Morocco.

The DAGMAR A/W 2011 show was held at Absolut Academy in Stockholm, January 31.
Specially composed ABSOLUT DAGMAR drinks were served to the special invited guests. Amongst them, DAGMAR fan and rock star daughter Peaches Geldof, blogger Elin Kling and upcoming movie super star Alicia Vikander.
